Koh Tao to Surat Thani ferry
(Don Sak – Raja Ferry Pier)
We took this ferry on our way back from Koh Tao to the mainland of Thailand. Most of the ferries on this route are operated by Lomprayah Ferries, which once again meant organized chaos.
The journey from Koh Tao to Surat Thani (Don Sak) takes about 3 to 3.5 hours, as the ferry first stops at Koh Phangan and then Koh Samui before finally arriving at Raja Ferry Pier, near Surat Thani.

Tickets cost between $25 and $30 and should be purchased at least 24 hours in advanceβnot just because online sales close after that, but also because tickets often sell out, especially during high season.
