Chumphon to Koh Tao ferry

This is one of the ferries we sailed on in early 2025. The ferry departs from the Chumphon ferry pier, where you board Lomprayah Ferries to Koh Tao. From there, you can continue on to Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, before heading back to the mainland near Surat Thani for the return trip.

Traveling with Lomprayah from Chumphon means a bit of chaos, but ultimately, you’ll reach your destination on comfortable ferries. The trip from Chumphon to Koh Tao takes about 2 hours. Be sure to book your ticket well in advance: ticket sales close 24 hours before departure, and especially during peak season, boats can sell out quickly.

Ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Tao and Koh Phangan

Sailing from one beautiful island to another. When booking this trip, make sure you focus on the correct piers:

• Koh Tao (Mae Haad Pier): From Koh Tao, you can continue to Koh Samui or head in the opposite direction.
• Koh Samui (Nathon Pier): You can also travel to Koh Phangan from Koh Tao, which takes about an hour. From Koh Phangan, you’ll continue on to Koh Samui and then to Raja Ferry Pier (Don Sak), where you can carry on with your journey through Thailand.

Tickets for the route from Chumphon to Koh Tao cost about $22 per person.
